a joint partnership between Sunnybrook and Women's College Health
Centre and the
University of Toronto since 1995.
CRWH is committed to conducting and fostering research relevant
to women's lives, and to promoting its application in diverse communities.
The success of CRWH is founded on excellence in research
that is internationally recognised as making a contribution to women's
health through its outstanding investigators, innovative methodologies
and practice-based context.
CRWH is dedicated to bridging the gap between diverse research perspectives
and to fulfilling its goal of leadership through partnership by building
strong alliances with other organisations involved in women's health.
We continue to build inter-sectoral partnerships with government and
non-government organisations, health care and academic institutions,
community groups, and corporate sponsors. CRWH is also committed to building
capacity by promoting partnerships with students and researchers-in-training
and disseminating our approaches and methodologies locally and internationally.
Acknowledged as a leader in women's health research, CRWH is also designated
as the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating
Centre in Women's Health: the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
This designation has facilitated further partnerships with scholars,
practitioners, activists, and students around the world.
