on to host programs such as the interview program The Lead and the network's
flagship news program Newsworld Reports.

Alison began her television career in Toronto in 1977. She worked as a reporter
in the CBC Toronto newsroom, moving to The National in 1982 where she worked
as a national reporter and assignment editor.
